Stinkin' Cute

Here i am thinkin' about my next slide run. Maybe I should go down backwards and upside-down. Look out X-Games 2019 here I come. I overheard my Mom and Dad say something about me being stinkin' cute.

Thanks Ellen for letting my Dad borrow your awesome Canon Rebel XT Digital SLR. It takes great picts. I hope Momma buys Dad the XTi (silver body) for Christmas, then we won't have to wait 1.5 seconds from the time the button is pressed till the shutter actually clicks. Now don't get me wrong, Dad says "happy snap" cameras have their place. But not if you actually want to record memories when they happen. Trying to recreate actual events just for photo is really awkward. Cheers.

The Slide

Okay folks. I've gotta tell you, there's this thing at the park called a slide. It's my favorite outside toy/event of the year. For all I care, my parents could leave me at the park and I'd do the slide over and over and over until the earth stopped rotating. I just can't get enough. Here's some new action shots my Dada, took of me this evening. It was cold and windy, but I didn't notice a thing.

WATER!

Here I am using greywater from Mommy's New Rain Barrel to water the forsynthia we saved earlier this summer. We BOTH forgot to water the forsynthia ALL winter, but finally started giving it drinkies in May. And now look at it! Mommy is lucky to have such a good little helper like me.

Am I'm confuseded?

Apparently I'm experimenting with my Vocabelly. This morning Mommy asked me if I wanted some blueberries. I signed "yes" with a big smile and then pointed at the refrigerator said, "Bah....dun-dun!" I think I like this better than yesterday's version of 'blueberry'.

While Mommy was getting me some blueberries, I read on the bag that bah...dun-duns are loaded with antioxidants! This makes me especially happy, as I don't like free-radicals floating around in my little system, if I can help it.

2 new words

Yesterday Mommy and Daddy taught me two new words! They are some of my favorite foods.

The green stuff in the background is called "grass". We don't have any of our own yet, but Dada says "Soon, Little Guy, you'll be playing in your own field of green." Daddy is hard at work on the sprinkler system for the drought tolerant grass Mom and Dad are ordering soon. But I don't think any kind of grass is going to use less water than our backyard-of-plain-dirt.

Our puppy told me she's excited about the grass, too! She's going to make Daddy a whole bunch of presents on it. I don't know what they are, but I bet they're going to make Daddy very, very happy.

Bye-Bye Nuk-Nuk

Well, it's been 2 whole days. And I haven't had a Nuk-Nuk in 2 whole days! Mommy was worried about my teeth...since she heard how much braces cost these days. And Daddy put me to bed last night and couldn't find my Nuk-Nuk. But I didn't even notice because I was so tired.

Here's a picture of me with 'mud on my face, a big disgrace'. Mom & Dad have been letting me help with the landscaping. It's a lot of work to shovel dirt and eat mud, but I've been helping a lot! I helped Daddy fill in the trench for the sprinkler pipes. He hadn't put the pipes in yet, but I didn't think that would matter too much. Mommy sat me down by a hole that DID needed filled in after that. I worked on it a little bit, but then I practiced rock climbing on a pile of gravel. You can see why I was so tired.

Monkey Boy

Yesterday I'd climbed all the way up on top of the kitchen table and was squatting next to the fruit bowl with my hand stretched out ready to grasp another banana... when Mom and Dad came around the corner!

Shoot. Monkey Boy foiled again!

There's Dada, there's Briggie, there's G-Pa, there's Liebe, and there's that one chick who changes my diaper, feeds me, plays with me all day, puts me down for naps, changes my diaper again, feeds me some more, reads me stories, hugs me and kisses me and gives me baths. But who in the world is this 'Mama' person they keep talking about?

Stuck in a Box

Now that I can pretty much walk, I've been getting into some interesting fixes! Here I am after I tried climbing over this box; I got my foot stuck in the top. I thought it was funny...at first.

Ready for Take Off!

This is back in the day when I used to have to hold on to someone every time I need to walk. But no more! Mommy says I'm officially walking today... although I still prefer my speed-crawl! Today I walked almost all the way from the car into story time at the library! (But I must admit, I was holding Mommy's finger.)

NW G-parents visit!

Hey folks-
I've been busy hanging out with my NW G-parents. They are fun. Just take a look see at all the fun stuff I got to do...

I went hiking with Mama, G-pa and Briggie. It was fun. Mama got tired, so I let her carry me up the hill.














Later, I got to wrassle this antelope! Don't worry, no antelopes were hurt in the filming of this event.

Here I am reading G-pa one of my favorite stories, Good Night Moon. I don't think he'd ever read it before. He was impressed at how I can turn the pages all by myself.

All in a day's work. Here I am testing out the new shelves we built in the laundry-room-with-the-sweet-new-retro-stripe. Unfortunately, Mama wouldn't let me stay up here for very long! I think I make a pretty good shelf tester though!

We took a very windy walk...and this is me with everyone (except Dada who was at work earning some bacon).

Toofing...Again

Dudes. I'm toofing again. Which means, for those of you who don't know Babyspeak, that I'm getting two news toofs, both on the top of my mouth. Ouch. I'm in a lot of pain, and Mommy and I are both getting worn out from my screaming.

These teething tablets seem to help. But my gummies still hurt.

In other news, I signed "banana" and "hungry" for the first time this morning. I also SAID "nana" and pointed at the banana stash in the fruit bowl.

Got my HAIRs CUT!

I've been out getting my hairs cut, that's why I haven't been blogging lately. It took Mommy a L-O-N-G time to cut off all my curls...and Dada was trying to hold my head still. I was very curious about the scissors until I got some crunchy yummy cereal to distract me.

Mommy's Birfday

Just hanging out before going out to breakfast at Buster's 66 Coffee Shop on Route 66 for Mommy's Birfday. The food wasn't THAT great, but it was fun to throw Crunchy O's Cereal all over the floor! I also had Green Chili, straight. Yum!
