My First 70s Party

Mommy and Daddy took me to a 70s party. I got to wear these hip shades and meet lots of people who loved me!

Eleven Months! Almost...

I have a talented Dad. He took this picture of me...I think I'm looking pretty good. Yes folks, it's true...I'm almost 11 months old!

New Dannon Yogurt Poster Child

Here I am doing a spot for Dannon Yogurt's new campaign: Get Your Kid to Eat Plain Yogurt. How do you like my Hollywood Film Star hair?

I Like Leaves.

Here I am during my first experience with Autumn Leaves. I was going to run and jump into this pile of leaves, until Mommy and Daddy reminded me that I don't know how to run OR jump yet. I thought these leaves were yummy. Mommy had to keep pulling them out of my mouth while Daddy was trying to get a good picture.

They thought I was being uncooperative but I just thought it was funny how easily I could make Mommy jump just by going toward my mouth with a handful of leaves!

My First Christmas Wishlist

All I want for Christmas is:

Clothes (size 18 months or bigger):
A warm coat wih a hood. (rcvd)
Jeans or pants. (rcvd 2)
2 or 3 long-sleeved shirts/onesies. (rcvd 2)
Some sockies. (rcvd)
[Hand-Me-Downs or Second Hands are great because I'm growing so fast anyway.]

Toys:
Push-button toy phone.
A bouncy ball. (rcvd)
Some bubbles.
Magnetic Refrigerator Letters and Numbers.
Aquadoodle.
A Tonka Truck. I'm not picky.
Some wooden blocks or a wooden train set.

Books:
Where the Wild Things Are
The Cat in the Hat or any other Dr. Seuss books.

The Other Side

I figured since I'd shown you a crazy shot of one side of my family (Dad's Side), I might as well 'confess all' and show you the other side (Mom's Side) as well! Here is the other side of my family... Looking at these two pictures... I realize that the common denominator is my Parental Unit. Hmm...teensy bit SCARY!

Turkey Day

There I was minding my own business taking a LONG nap and I woke up to find THESE PEOPLE eating a huge amount of food around my dining room table. I had wondered why Mommy was making it all fancy a few days ago. You can see what I had to go through today. I'm in the left hand bottom corner...the only normal one in the bunch!

Daddy says that I should be thankful for such a zany bunch of relatives. They keep life interesting, he says. I have to admit, it was pretty fun playing with my cousins and eating Mashed Up Baby Thanksgiving Food Medley which Mommy made me.

I'm thankful for clean cloth diapers, rice cereal, and my crazy parents.

Book Worm

I've discovered a new pastime! Reading? NO! Pulling books off of Mommy's shelf. I can't read, YET, but this one looks interesting...Stupid Things Men Do to Mess Up Their Lives by Dr. Laura Schlessinger. Hmm. Not sure I'm ready for this!

Hiking is Sweeteous.

Me and Mommy and Furry Sister Liebe went hiking on Tuesday. Sweeteous. Hiking has perks. I get to RIDE. I get to drink out of Mommy's waterbottle. I get to yank on her ponytail! It's awesome. Plus, I get to be outside.

Hiking must be harder than it looks, though. Mommy was breathing kind of hard and I heard her muttering something like "stinkin' heavy" under her breath several times. Hmm. Maybe she meant me?

Hey Folks-
Now that I am home and have more time in between my naps to blog, I thought I'd post a few more pictures from my recent trip.

Here I am hamming it up in my hat. I got this hat from my cousin Zander.








Here I am with my Great Aunt Susie and my Great Uncle David at a really cool wedding. It was my First Cousin Once Removed's (Matt's) wedding. Almost the whole clan was there!

I'm hanging out with my Great Grandma Wolfe. Mommy says that Great Grandma Wolfe makes great coffee and has a green thumb. But her thumb doesn't LOOK green.



This is my cool Uncle Joe. He is very tall. Let me see...he is 285% taller than me. His feet are bigger, too. In fact, I think even his feet are longer than me!


This is one of my newer tricks. I learned this on our trip, but it's super easy for me now. I like to call it One Handed Wall Pushups.

For those of you who have missed my regular blogs, please call out a 'Whoot Whoot' with me. I'm back in the blogggin' saddle again! Mom says I can only blog once a day, though.

Nine Months

Hey Folks-
Life has been busy since we got home. I went on my 9 month check up! I got the second Hepatitis B vaccine and also a flu shot. Mommy was surprised when I didn't cry at ALL!

Here are my measurements for those of your tracking my growth & progress:

Weight: 20 pounds 7 ounces. (50th percentile) That weight is WITH my diaper on, but I can't remember if it was dry or not.

Height: 27 and 1/2 inches. (25th percentile)
This 'short for my age' thing would explain my slightly chunky appearance.

And Head Circumference... 46 cm! I like to tell people that's in the 75th percentile. Which means I have a big head, just like Mommy.

Still Packin'

Hey folks! I'm in central PA on this stage of our road trip and I thought you'd like to see what it looks like when I pack my suitcase! Mommy said I could take as much on this trip as I could personally carry. My suitcase weighed 40.5 pounds...they almost didn't let me take it on the plane. Boston was fun, but PA is funnerest! Everyone here loves me. I have so many kinfolk I can't keep 'em all straight! Mommy said that I have a lot of coufsuns and secund coufsuns and great ants and great uncowls. I'm not sure what all those are, but if they have anything to do with all these people who like to hold, bounce, snuggle and smile at me, then it must be good. I even met two sets of great grandpaps and great grandmas! Great Grandpap Byers said that I was "mighty strong" and Great Grandpap Wolfe said that I was "some boy"! In this picture, it looks like he's trying to give Mommy some stern child-rearing advice, but he's really just trying to get me to look at the camera!

Grandma and Grandpa

Folks! Here is one set of my local Grandparents. Aren't they cute? That's Grandma Viola on the left and Grandpa Leland on the right. They are both really good at tennis. Hopefully they'll teach me someday!

The 3 'ING's

It's official. I've learned to multi-task! I'm 8 months old and I can MULTI-TASK. Sweet. Here I am stand-ING, drool-ING, and with a runn-ING nose! How's that for an 8 month old? Mommy was too slow on the camera, though. Right before this shot, I was also chew-ING the table!

Make a Crawl for It!

Mommy snapped this photo right before I got around the corner. Shoot! I had planned my big escape and was making a crawl for it. I was planning to go into the Living Room and chew on some cords or something. She never lets me do anything fun!

Up, Up and Away!

This morning Mommy and Dada got up REALLY early! Good thing I'd been training them how to do that the past 8 months. I didn't know WHAT was going on...because right after she came and got me, Mommy stuck me in my car seat and Dada started driving.

Next thing I knew, I was getting my diaper changed in the back of the Subaru and had this sweet dinosaur fleece thingy put on me. I was nice and warm. Mommy even gave me a yummy cookie to eat. THEN I realized where we were!

We were at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta! I got to see lots of bright colors floating in the sky. My fave was the cow shaped balloon complete with an udder; I'm not sure WHY I liked that one so much.

Naplessness.

I've decided I don't like naps. First of all, I have to be all by myself, and I think I'm an extrovert. Second of all, they put me in a crib, and I really like to scootch around rather than being stuck in one little spot. Third of all, they put a crimp in my baby-style! I'm 8 months old for goodness' sake.

I think I'm driving Mommy a little batty. I admit it, I DO get tired. I rub my eyes. I pull my ears. I fuss. My eyelids droop. All the classic signs of being sleepy. But NAPS? NO WAY - that CAN NOT be the answer!

Any advice, other kiddos out there?

I got myself in a little bit of a pickle the other day! I must've looked super-cute because Mommy took a picture of me BEFORE she rescued me! I love this linoleum floor though, I can slide and scootch so easily.
